Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MAPb2, a visual thinking and mind mapping tool suite available at mapb2.io ("Service"), operated by bee2.io LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using MAPb2, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MAPb2, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

MAPb2 is a browser-based visual thinking tool suite that provides 200+ interactive tools for mind mapping, diagramming, brainstorming, and decision-making. The Service operates primarily on the client side, with all user-created content processed and stored locally in the user's browser.

The Service is offered in two tiers: the Mind Map Builder is free for all users without registration, and a Pro tier ($4.99/month) unlocking all 207 remaining tools via subscription.

3. User Accounts

No account is required to use the free Mind Map Builder. To access Pro tools, you must create an account and sign in. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The Pro plan is available as a monthly subscription ($4.99/month). By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Recurring Billing: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro tools until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund requests may be submitted within 7 days of a payment. Refunds are issued at our discretion and processed through Stripe.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all mind maps, diagrams, sketches, and other content you create using MAPb2. Since your content is stored locally in your browser, we do not have access to it and claim no rights over it.

Our Service: The MAPb2 application, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of bee2.io LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or any part of it.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

7. Data and Local Storage

MAPb2 stores all user-created content in the browser's IndexedDB. We are not responsible for data loss due to browser data clearing, device failure, browser updates, or any other event that causes local storage to be erased. You are solely responsible for backing up your data using the export tools provided. We strongly recommend regularly exporting important work.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep MAPb2 available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Since MAPb2 tools operate offline after initial load, temporary service interruptions should not affect active sessions.

Scheduled Maintenance & Service Availability: Routine maintenance is typically performed between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM US Eastern Time (10:00–11:00 UTC) and usually lasts approximately 5–10 minutes. During this window, the service may be briefly disrupted and users may need to refresh the page. When a new version is deployed, a notification banner will appear automatically - simply click "Refresh" when you are ready. MAPb2 will never auto-refresh your page while you are working.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BEE2.IO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless bee2.io LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and indemnification survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and bee2.io LLC regarding the use of MAPb2 and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
